Abdul Aleem is the CEO and co-founder of BuiltX Sustainable Design & Construction. He is a driven entrepreneur with a passion for technology, sustainability, and social impact. Abdul graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Engineering and won the J. Warren Nute Fellowship and Stanford’s Graduate School of Business energy championship. He is committed to using his expertise to positively impact communities through innovative and sustainable construction solutions. Since starting Builtx, Abdul is leading many successful projects, including the construction of the biggest eye hospital in the eastern India. Anil Kumar is the Chief Civil Engineer of BuiltX with over three decades of experience in the construction industry. Anil has played a crucial role in the success of over 50 projects, including hospitals, universities, and other infrastructure facilities. He is an expert in his field, and his dedication and expertise have earned him a reputation as a trusted leader in the industry. Anil's commitment to excellence and passion for creating sustainable and innovative infrastructure solutions make him an invaluable asset to the BuiltX team.

Prof Girish Agarwal
Advisor
Prof Girish Agrawal works on the interrelated questions of law and policy as they pertain to infrastructure development in India. He is especially interested in how roadway design and urban layout influences driver behavior (and so road safety); what is the impact on natural systems because of a rapid expansion of the built environment; how do urban heat island effects work; and how to manage natural disaster and recovery. Girish holds a B. Tech. (Hons) in Civil Engineering from IIT Delhi, an MS and a PhD, both in Geotechnical Engineering, from Purdue University. He also holds a Juris Doctor from the UC Berkeley School of Law. He is thus a licensed Civil Engineer, a licensed Geotechnical Engineer, and a licensed Attorney at Law! He has about 20 years of professional experience as a consulting engineer, mostly in California, working with architects and planners on a wide range of public and private infrastructure. He has been a member of the faculty at Purdue University and IIT Delhi.
